Condo Prices Up – January’s stats

Here are some new stats from the Calgary Real Estate board regarding condo sales in January. The average price of a condo Calgary grew by more than $5,600 in January vs  January of last year.

The condos sold for an average of $288,291 vs the $282,639 last year for an increase of 2%.

Sales are a bit slower, with only 302 condos selling in January vs the 376 sold in 2010.

The average days to sell a Condo in Calgary is 61 days, up from only 50 days to sell around this time last year.

Millionaire bachelor Louis Mantin wanted the people of the small town Moulins in France, to see how a cultured gentleman lived in his day. He passed away in 1905 and in his will he ordered his mansion to be sealed shut for 100 years. It has now been reopened and the home looks just as he left it 100 years ago. This time capsule of a home is full of artifacts, art, and tapestries as well as all the last 1900’s technology such as electricity and flushing toilets.
